Stephanie joined our staff after serving for four years in the office
of State Senator Dede Alpert.
She comes to us with community relations and policy experience. Stephanie
was a principal staff
person on legislation authored by Senator Alpert pertaining to CalWORKS
and Drug Endangered
Children. The Governor successfully signed both of these bills into
law. Her areas of expertise include:
delinquent and dependent youth, juvenile justice, housing, homeless,
and other social service areas.
Stephanie's interest in youth related policy developed during her
time as a counselor and residential
supervisor for severally emotionally disturbed children in a residential
treatment center in Santa Barbara.
She invested her time there for over four years during and after her
time in college. Stephanie received a
Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from the University of California at
Santa Barbara. She returned to her hometown,
San Diego, in 1999 were her family resides and where she hopes to raise
her family.
