Jason Farran - Deputy Chief of Staff

Jason Farran was born and raised in Malibu, California. In 1996, Jason relocated to San Diego to attend San Diego State University.

In May of 2000, Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Political Science and minoring in History, from SDSU. An alumnus of the Sigma Pi Fraternity, Jason was essential in its re-establishment on the SDSU campus.

Immediately after graduation, Jason joined "Team Ron Roberts" and is now one of the Supervisor’s longest serving staff members.

As Deputy Chief of Staff, Jason Farran develops policy recommendations and serves as an advisor to Supervisor Roberts on issues pertaining to air quality, energy, environmental health, public safety, gangs, disaster preparedness, fire preparedness and response, information technology and animal services.

Jason’s other responsibilities include Neighborhood Reinvestment Program grant funding, Community Enhancement grant funding, managing the Supervisor's web site and office internship program.

Jason serves as the Supervisor’s liaison to the communities of Little Italy and the College Area.

A resident of the Fourth Supervisorial District since 1996, Jason currently resides in the College Area.
