Adrian Granda - Policy Advisor/Community Representative
Adrian Granda has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science from the California State University, Long Beach, where he focused on international relations, political theory and statistical analysis.
Prior to joining Supervisor Roberts’s office, Adrian worked at the city of San Diego in the Council District Three office for five years, where he served as director of communications for then-Councilmember Todd Gloria. Adrian also served as a policy advisor on governance, transportation and land use issues brought before the San Diego City Council, Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG). In 2014, he served as interim Director of Legislative Affairs, coordinating all business to be taken up by the San Diego City Council at the pleasure of the Council President.
As a policy advisor for Supervisor Roberts, Adrian’s responsibilities include economic development, public safety, veterans affairs, land use and transportation. Adrian is primary staff for the Supervisor in his role on the boards of MTS, SANDAG, and as co-chair of the City-County Reinvestment Task Force. He also serves the communities of Downtown, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Point Loma, La Jolla, Bird Rock, Clairemont, Tierra Santa, and Mission Valley.
